Wed lunch mtg W2033, Centennial Park Picnic 6/10, and other announcements!

Dear PHCF,

It's so quiet today post-holiday (and post-graduation) with folks taking (or studying for) comprehensive exams! I wanted to share a verse that was on my heart today from Jeremiah 31: For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish. (v25) And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,” for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more. (v34)

What a promise this is: true satisfaction for the weary, forgiveness for sinners, and knowing the Lord - which is eternal life. This afternoon, may you rest and be rejuvenated because he knows and cares for you. May the work of your hands and words of your mouth be pleasing to him - and point others to the only one who can save. Please continue praying for people's life transitions to new schools/jobs/cities - for both those leaving and those coming!

We will meet tomorrow (and throughout the summer) on Wednesdays at lunchtime (12:15pm) in Room W2033 *Note room change!

Love,
Teresa - for PHCF
