Wed lunch mtg W2033 (guest speaker!), and upcoming conferences/jobs/concerts/shows

Good morning, PHCF! David writes : One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. (Ps 27:4) This morning, may this be the cry of your heart , too! For those of you taking midterms, we pray for your diligence and preparedness. And we continue praying for our new MPH and incoming MSPH/MBE/MHA/MHS/MPP/ScM/PhD/DrPH students, that the Lord guide your steps. This Wednesday, we will meet in Room W2033 in the SPH at 12:15pm -- one of the founding members of PHCF (Ajit Isaac, MPH '95) will share with us on "being called as an ambassador for Christ." Good morning, PHCF! Jesus says: I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture (John 10:9). We pray today that you savor this "I am" statement, resting in the promise that through Jesus we have full access to our Father God and the abundant life that he promises. Isn't it a sweet picture that as we go in and out, we encounter Jesus again and again? May you see his presence with you as you go about your studies and work and wherever you go, trusting and obeying where he leads. This Wednesday, we will meet in Room W2033 in the SPH at 12:15pm for Bible study and prayer. Dear PHCF, Happy July 4th! Today is a special day in the US, a day to celebrate independence and liberty (and cookouts and fireworks!). Hope that you enjoyed the day off and partook in some festivities! We pray, though, that you also remember that our freedom comes first and foremost through Jesus, who has set us free from sin (Jn 8:36) and given us new identity as beloved children of God (Rom 8:14-17). We pray also that you may find yourself ever more rooted in the Lord, deepening faith and trust in the One who never fails nor forsakes us. May your studies and work be all to his glory! Tomorrow, PHCF will have a low-key prayer meeting / hangout over lunchtime in Room W2033 (12:15-1:15pm), with yummy mochi snacks - anyone is welcome! First official meeting for the summer is next Wednesday 7/12 with an ice cream social and meet-and-greet. To the MPHers - happy second day of school! Grace and peace, Teresa - for PHCF Other announcements: Job opportunities at JLI and WorldRelief CCIH co
