Wed lunch mtg W2033, jobs, conferences, and concerts
Dear PHCF,
Happy July 4th! Today is a special day in the US, a day to celebrate independence and liberty (and cookouts and fireworks!). Hope that you enjoyed the day off and partook in some festivities! We pray, though, that you also remember that our freedom comes first and foremost through Jesus, who has set us free from sin (Jn 8:36) and given us new identity as beloved children of God (Rom 8:14-17). We pray also that you may find yourself ever more rooted in the Lord, deepening faith and trust in the One who never fails nor forsakes us. May your studies and work be all to his glory!
Tomorrow, PHCF will have a low-key prayer meeting / hangout over lunchtime in Room W2033 (12:15-1:15pm), with yummy mochi snacks - anyone is welcome! First official meeting for the summer is next Wednesday 7/12 with an ice cream social and meet-and-greet.
To the MPHers - happy second day of school!
Grace and peace,
Teresa - for PHCF

Consider it all pure joy, my brothers, whenever you encounter various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)
