Public Health Christian Fellowship - a new year!

Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship,

David writes, As for you, O LORD, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me. (Ps 40:11)

Welcome back from a two-month hiatus from regularly scheduled emails :) Our new MPH students have arrived at the School of Public Health, and new (and continuing) master's and doctoral students will be arriving in about a month to start first term of the new academic year.

Praying today for you to experience afresh God's mercy, steadfast love, and faithfulness - and to trust that He is at work in the work He has prepared in advance for you to do (Eph 2:10). Please also pray for those who are just now (or soon to be) settling down in Baltimore for school/work, for practical provision, spiritual community, and for us all to grow in our walks with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Announcements:
Regular weekly lunch meetings on Tuesdays 12:15-1:15pm in Room W2033 in the SPH Wolfe Street building (second floor, across from Paige Hall/W2030) - officially starting Aug 6! (Though the room is open for use starting today). We'll rotate through Bible studies, sharing, prayer, and guest speakers.

Family planning webinar: Christian Connections in International Health is hosting a webinar tomorrow (Wed) 9am on on "practical tools to bring family planning to communities" - more details and registration here.

Leadership: if interested in leadership, please email jhsph.phcf@gmail.com - this group relies on Jesus first and foremost for guidance and direction, but also needs you as His hands and feet here in our school.

Looking forward to fellowshipping with you all this year!
*Note: if you have moved on from Hopkins/Baltimore and are not interested in receiving emails from us anymore, please email jhsph.phcf@gmail.comand we'll take you off the listserv.

Grace and peace,
Teresa - for PHCF

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Tim 1:7)
