Fri noon Bible study, CCIH webinar, CCIH conference, and job/housing opportunities

Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship,

Congratulations to our graduates! :) Praise God for his protection, provision, and guidance along the way, especially in these last challenging months of the academic year - and for the brothers and sisters in Christ who've walked alongside you. Praying a psalm of thanks today (Ps 100):

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know the the LORD, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

4) Job opportunities:
a) with World Relief
World Relief is hiring a new Haiti Country Director - apply if you speak Creole/French! :)

b) with CCIH/World Relief
Christian Connections for International Health | CCIH is hiring a Project Coordinator to work on CCIH grants focused on maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) and family planning (FP) in 6 different countries on USAID-funded grants. This is a full-time position and is a NEW position. The primary responsibilities of the Project Coordinator are tracking and monitoring the project activities of the subgrantees towards the goals of the overall grant. See the full position description and how to apply. (Read directions carefully!)

This person will be working almost 100% remote and needs to be comfortable and able to work at home by him/herself. As all travel is not happening right now and not sure when any work travel will start, that part of the job is not happening. Ideally, this person will be in the DC metro area as the team does get together in person at least quarterly. Will be working closely with Mona Bormet at CCIH and Amberle Brown (PHCF alumnus '16) at WorldRelief.

5) Housing opportunity
a) From PHCF alum Michelle Sun: Hi! I graduated from the MPH program in 2016 and subsequently stayed in Baltimore and purchased a sunny row home just a 10 minute walk from JHSPH (see photos/description here). I am now doing residency in NYC. It's a 3 bed 2.5 bath fully furnished, with a basement and backyard and W&D. I'm renting out one bedroom (yellow) for $650/month plus utilities. You'd be living with two other lovely gals - one is a PhD student and the other is in the nursing program. If interested, please message me or email michellejsun@gmail.com. If you have any other questions about the MPH, please reach out as well - I loved it!

b) from Lyndsay DeGroot: a PhD student in the School of Nursing and a faithful member of Saint Mo's Church (a non-denominational church plant in Barclay), Lyndsay is looking for a new (female, Christian) apartment-mate starting in June 2020! She has a very cute apartment in Mount Vernon, more details and contact info here.

6) Global Missions Health Conference - Nov 12-14, 2020
Held annually in Louisville, KY, the Global Missions Health Conference is like Intervarsity's Urbana conference - but focused on people in healthcare or public health who have a heart for missions (both globally and locally). GMHC is a weekend of encouragement, networking, learning, and much more. Registration ($105 for students) is currently ongoing!
