Wed lunch mtg W2033, leadership, Aug 26 hiking trip, Nov 9-11 Global Missions Health Conference
Good morning, PHCF!
A gospel verse to meditate on today: When the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7) I love that all three persons of God (Father, Spirit, and Son) are involved in salvation! May you cling to hope, and open your eyes to the ways God is calling you to love him and serve his people (whether through diligence in your studies/work or in sharing good news with those around you).
This Wednesday, we will meet in Room W2033 in the SPH at 12:15pm -- we will study Jeremiah 29:1,4-14 (see page 6, "Choose to be here" of our Flourishing in Graduate School Bible study).
If you're interested in leading this year, please email us at jhsph.phcf@gmail.com as we pray and prepare for the students who arrive the end of August! We'd love to expand the team.
You are welcome to join us at any/all of our recurring gatherings:
- Lunch meetings on Wednesdays at 12:15pm in Room W2033 (contact PHCF)
- Small group on Mondays at 7:30pm in the 929 Apartments (contact Esther)
- Writing Accountability Group (i.e. study group) on Fridays at 4pm (contact Teresa)

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient but the things that are unseen are eternal. (2 Cor 3:16-18)
