PHCF Faculty and Alumni Series

Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship, Have you ever wondered how your faith intersects with public health? In our Faculty and Alumni Series , we pose one question to current faculty members in different departments and past students in various sectors of public health-- How does your faith influence your teaching and practice of Public Health? This Friday October 15th at 11am EST, join in-person/zoom as Teresa Yeh, a faculty member in International Health answers this question. Through this series you will hear about how the personal faith journeys of speakers and biblical principles have influenced their career in public health. See you there and invite a friend! Blessings, PHCF

Thursday and Friday Bible study

Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship, A little summary from our Easter Event:  We watched Overcomer and learned a lot of insight from the movie. And I would like to share one of them: Our identity came from Jesus. It speaks right to my heart. It's not about who we are, or what we have, or what we achieve. The most important thing is we are God's children. Ephesians 2:10, NIV: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship, Happy 1st week of the 4th term! I am so grateful that we are finally here.  I would like to share my daily bible verse that reminded us of how Christ will restore us and strengthen us. It is "human" to feel tired and bored, but we can always trust God and his promises. That will keep us motivated and excited. "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."   (1 Peter 5:10) During this lent period, let us refocus ourselves on what Jesus had done on the cross and encourage one another in Him. :)   We look forward to meeting you and  worshiping  Him together. Resolution 101: The 2021 Version

Resolution 101: The 2021 Version   We all fall within the resolution spectrum. You may fall on the end, where you make detailed plans. I mean you know what you're going to be doing in six months, in eight months or even tomorrow at 3 p.m. You have everything planned out. Alternatively, you may be on the end that goes with the flow, you take life's moments as they come. However, the majority of us are within the spectrum, we have plans or ideas of what we want to accomplish for this year, but we are flexible with the timeline. It does not matter on which end you find yourself, what matters most is this: doing everything, the extraordinary or the mundane, for the glory of God. "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. " 1 Corinthians 10:31 We set resolutions and we make plans.  Regardless of where you fall on the spectrum and even though you may have already set your 2021 resolutions, I urge you to consider t...
