Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship, In Paul's famous description of love in 1 Cor 13, he writes:  For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known  (1 Cor 13:12) Praying that in the midst of midterms this week and other projects/work/events, the Lord walks closely with you as you remember to turn and seek his face, and that you do all your things-to-do for the sake of his glory.  And sharing a song for meditation . Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship, The prophet Joel writes to the Israelites, urging repentance and giving thanks for God's mercy:  You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame. You know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God and there is none else.  (Joel 2:26-27) Brothers and sisters in the SPH, praying that we can be like Paul who said,  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes  (Rom 1:16). As you go about your studies and work this week, may you lean on God's grace and extend his grace to those around you. This week's activities: Tuesday  Bible study   in the Book of John -  12noon  in Room  W9514  (9th floor, conference room next to The Garden Plate). Wed 12:15 W2033 ice cream social meet and greet, and other announcements

Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship, Today we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Alma Ata Declaration, declaring the importance of primary health care. Though we are still far from "health for all", we can give thanks that our God cares deeply about all the people he has placed on this world: he binds up the brokenhearted, frees captives and prisoners, comforts those who mourn, and gives his people everlasting joy (Isaiah 61). And in the new heaven and new earth, "[God] will dwell with [man], and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." (Rev 21:3-4). Praise God that he has given each of us good work to do, and praying that you be Jesus' hands and feet to those around you, until that day comes!  Our  Tuesday Bible study , led by MPH'er T

[PHCF] Tues Activities Fair, ice cream social next week, lots of announcements/praises/prayers

Dear Public Health Christian Fellowship, The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing... They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God.  (Is 35:1-2) What a vision of transformation in when the Lord comes in his full glory! Isaiah goes on to write of weak hands strengthened, feeble knees made firm, and anxious hearts releasing their fear. Dear ones, praying for your hope to be found in Christ alone today. May you take joy and comfort knowing that your Savior is mighty to save, and that he has called you to his Kingdom work - whatever your specific vocational calling - until he comes again. Please pray  for the start of first term (and for new MHS, MSPH, ScM PhD, DrPH.. students) - for peace in the challenges and joys of starting a new school year, for ordained meetings and connections, and for his glory to be made known through the presence of his
